Dung for Brains! Dilbert’s company, Path-E-Tech Management use some Black Hat SEO in the shape of fake links to boost their rankings. However Google find out and they can then only be found for a certain search…”Dung for Brains”.
Okay so it’s not quite true but start trying to mess Google around and they may just punish you – so no white text on white backgrounds please!
Maybe it also shows that SEO and link building are finally being seen as an industry by the media and not just people messing about on Google.
If your website comes up under any weird searches, let us know and we’ll publish them. But please, no spammy links – or you’ll not even be coming up for “Dung for Brains”
Alternatively, if you need to come up high on Google without them punishing you, feel free to get in touch.
Update: 3 1/2 hours later and this little blog post seems to be doing quite well…

We sell photo frames yet we come up quite high for a search on “Boleg Bros”. These are the guys who do the Lego Apprentice cartoons.
Maybe we need to sell a Lego shaped photo frame
Interesting that blog post, which has not seen a lot of responses, is on the first page of Google hits for “dung for brains“. I wonder how many replies with “dung for brains” need to be posted before it becomes number one for the search “dung for brains“.
Gah! I must have dung for brains! Failed to read it over before posting. Correction:

LOL thanks Arne. I know when I last looked we were 3rd on 1st page
Ha ha love the Dilbert cartoons. We’ve no weird search results yet – well none that we know of.
Love the cartoon
Not exactly a phrase people will be searching for often though is it, or one with a lot of competition lol x
It suprised me actually – initial was around 500+ hits in 24 hours and then trickling down to 3 – 5 a day. I spotted the cartoon and thought “mmm I can see a challenge here”
Sometimes you just have to do it because it’s there
